Even If I Don’t Understand the Reason】
English follows
【Scripture】1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied: 8 As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it. Job 4:1, 8 NIV
【Observation】Eliphaz the Temanite, seeing Job’s various misfortunes, thought that Job was suffering because he had been secretly doing wrong. Eliphaz was likely not the only one to think this way. I believe this concept of “what goes around comes around” is a widely held belief in many countries. People want to convince themselves that “there must be a reason why this happened.” However, this world is full of things we cannot understand.
【Application】There are many things we cannot understand. However, what matters is not whether we can make sense of things ourselves, but that we trust in God—even when we do not understand.
【Prayer】Lord, we want to know why this happened. We want to make sense of it. In other words, we want to control things—even if only in our own minds. Now, I entrust to You the task of understanding everything and controlling everything. You are God. I trust in You, who knows all things. 🙏
