Should We Also Accept Trouble?】

English follows

【Scripture】“He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.”Job 2:10 NIV

【Observation】At this point, Job had lost his wealth and his children. All that remained was his wife, who was telling him to curse God and die. If such misfortune were to befall a wealthy Christian today, wouldn’t they be tempted to tell that person to curse God? Yet Job said, “Since we have received blessings from God, shouldn’t we also accept misfortune?” What does this mean?Suppose we believed that “if we trust in God, we will be happy.” But what if we don’t end up happy? What would we do then? Would we abandon our faith? Or would we complain to God and curse Him? Isn’t faith about continuing to trust God even in the midst of calamity, even if we lead an unhappy life in this world?

【Application】No matter how much suffering I endure on this earth, I will continue to worship God.

【Prayer】Lord, I am truly weak. When things don’t go my way, my heart fills with complaints and dissatisfaction, and I grumble against You.Lord, may I become like Job. No matter what happens, please transform me into someone who does not grumble against You, does not sin, but looks up to You and praises You. 🙏
