God Who Restores Us and Transforms Us into People of Mercy】

English follows

【Scripture】“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”Luke 22:31-32 NIV

【Observation】It is written that Satan asked God to test Peter, and God granted his request. After this, Peter would go on to deny Jesus’ name three times. Everyone fails at some point. However, what we can be grateful for is that it does not end with failure—we are promised that we will be restored.

【Application】I, too, fail in various ways and become discouraged. But I am grateful that God helps me get back on my feet. It is better to fail, recognize my own weakness, and recover than to succeed without ever failing. This is because it makes me more compassionate toward those who are weak.

【Prayer】Lord, even though I don’t want to fail, I do fail. Lord, I believe that You are the God who restores me. Through my failures, please make me humble and transform me into someone who has compassion for the weaknesses of others. 🙏
