【働きをやめるな！Don’t Stop Working!】

【御言葉】37 バルナバは、マルコと呼ばれるヨハネを一緒に連れて行くつもりであった。38 しかしパウロは、パンフィリアで一行から離れて働きに同行しなかった者は、連れて行かないほうがよいと考えた。39 こうして激しい議論になり、その結果、互いに別行動をとることになった。バルナバはマルコを連れて、船でキプロスに渡って行き、使徒の働き 15章 37〜39節

【観察】以前、パウロとバルナバは2人で宣教旅行に行った。そして、再び福音を伝えた人達を励ますため、2回目の宣教旅行に行こうとしたのだが、その時、マルコに関してパウロとバルナバで意見が違い、激しい議論の末、2人は別行動するようになった。これは分裂だろうか、それとも拡張だろうか。私達が共に働く時、意見が違うことが必ず出てくる。何を重んじるかで、意見が分かれるからだ。そして、そのどちらも正しい面がある。パウロもバルナバもリーダーとして十分成長しており、互いに自分のチームを作って別々に行動することの方が主の御国の前進のため、必要なことだったと私は思う。

【適用】共に働けば、意見の相違は必ずある。違いを受け入れられるなら、共に働けばよいし、受け入れられなければ、別々に働けばよい。大切なのは働きをやめてしまうのではなく、働きが続けられること。そして、その別れた後の関係の修復もまた大切なのだが…。

【祈り】主よ、私達は共に働く時、様々な意見の相違があり、喧嘩をしてしまい、別れてしまうことがあります。しかし、それによって、働きをやめるのではなく、神の御国の前進のため、働き続けることが出来ますように。そして、後にその相手と和解することが出来ますように。🙏

【Scripture】“Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, ”Acts 15:37-39 NIV

【Observation】Previously, Paul and Barnabas had gone on a missionary journey together as a pair. Then, in order to encourage those to whom they had previously preached the gospel, they planned to embark on a second missionary journey. However, at that time, Paul and Barnabas disagreed regarding Mark, and after a heated argument, the two decided to go their separate ways. Is this a division, or is it an expansion?When we work together, differences of opinion are bound to arise. This is because our priorities differ. And there is truth in both perspectives.I believe that both Paul and Barnabas had matured sufficiently as leaders, and that forming their own teams and working separately was necessary for the advancement of the Lord’s kingdom.

【Application】When we work together, differences of opinion are inevitable. If we can accept those differences, we should continue working together; if not, we should work separately. What’s important is not to stop the work, but to keep it going. And while mending relationships after a split is also important….

【Prayer】Lord, when we work together, we sometimes have disagreements, end up arguing, and go our separate ways. But may we not stop the work because of this; may we continue working for the advancement of God’s kingdom. And may we be able to reconcile with one another afterward. 🙏
