【私達の努力ではなく、神の御業 Not Our Efforts, but God’s Work】

【御言葉】
5 すると、シモンが答えた。「先生。私たちは夜通し働きましたが、何一つ捕れませんでした。でも、おことばですので、網を下ろしてみましょう。」
ルカの福音書 5章 5節

【観察】
この時、ペテロ達は自分達では一匹も魚が捕れなかった。しかし、イエス様の指示に従った時に多くの魚を捕ることが出来た。それはペテロ達の努力とは全く関係ない神の御業であった。人が救われるのも同じこと。私達の努力ではなく、救いは神がなさること。私達がすべきことはイエス様が言われることに素直に従うこと。

【適用】
イエス様の言われることを聞き、従う。

【祈り】
主よ、私達は何と自分の力に頼って、あなたのことを伝えているでしょうか？そして、夜通し働いても、一人も救われないのです。救いはあなたの御業です。ですから、人を捕る漁師にしてくださるあなたの言うことに従うことが最も大切なことです。あなたの御声を聞き、ペテロのように素直に従えますように。🙏

【Observation】
At that time, Peter and the others had not caught a single fish on their own. However, when they followed Jesus’ instructions, they were able to catch a great many fish. This was God’s work, completely unrelated to Peter and the others’ efforts. The same is true for the salvation of people. Salvation is not the result of our efforts; it is something God does. What we must do is humbly obey what Jesus tells us.

【Application】
Listen to what Jesus says and obey Him.

【Prayer】
Lord, how much do we rely on our own strength when we share the gospel? And even when we work all night long, not a single person is saved. Salvation is Your work. Therefore, the most important thing is to obey what You say, for You are the One who makes us fishers of people. May we hear Your voice and obey You humbly, just as Peter did. 🙏
