【生まれ故郷でも語り続けよう。Let’s Keep Sharing the Good News, Even in Our Hometowns.】

【御言葉】16 それからイエスはご自分が育ったナザレに行き、いつもしているとおり安息日に会堂に入り、朗読しようとして立たれた。28 これを聞くと、会堂にいた人たちはみな憤りに満たされ、29 立ち上がってイエスを町の外に追い出した。そして町が建っていた丘の崖の縁まで連れて行き、そこから突き落とそうとした。ルカの福音書 4章16, 28〜29節

【観察】イエス様は自分が育ったナザレでも宣教された。ナザレの人達は始めイエス様を褒めていたが、イエス様に責められるとイエス様を殺そうとした。ルカ 4:24節で預言者はだれも、自分の郷里では歓迎されないと言っているが、実際、そのようになった。

【適用】今日、私は自分の生まれ故郷の家族のところに行く。久しぶりに家族に会えるのは嬉しい。しかし、私は自分の持っている信仰の故に家族から歓迎されないことも知っている。イエス様もそうであったのだから、私なら尚更そうだ。例え歓迎されなくても、家族を愛し、真理を語り続けられますように。

【祈り】主よ、私も以前は彼らと同じ仏教徒で、先祖を崇拝する者でした。しかし、私は今、自分の持っている信仰のゆえに、私は自分の先祖を崇拝しません。それは彼らにとっては裏切りであり、拒絶なのです。主よ、彼らを愛する愛を増し加えてください。またあなたの愛から真理を語ることが出来るようにしてくださいますように。🙏

【Scripture】“He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. ”Luke 4:16, 28-29 NIV

【Observation】Jesus preached even in Nazareth, where He had grown up. At first, the people of Nazareth praised Him, but when He rebuked them, they tried to kill Him. Luke 4:24 says that no prophet is accepted in his own hometown, and that is exactly what happened.

【Application】Today, I am going to visit my family in my hometown. I am happy to see my family again after so long.However, I also know that I may not be welcomed by my family because of my faith. Since this was true for Jesus, it is even more so for me. Even if I am not welcomed, may I continue to love my family and speak the truth.

【Prayer】Lord, I used to be a Buddhist like them, one who worshipped my ancestors. But now, because of my faith, I no longer worship my ancestors. To them, this is a betrayal and a rejection.Lord, please increase my love for them. And please enable me to speak the truth out of Your love. 🙏
