【御言葉】4 あなたは自分の知恵と英知によって富を築き、金や銀を宝物倉に蓄えた。5 商いに多くの知恵を使って富を増し、あなたの心は富のゆえに高ぶった。6 それゆえ、神である主はこう言う。あなたは自分の心を神の心のように見なした。7 それゆえ、わたしは諸国の中で最も横暴な他国人を連れて来て、あなたを攻めさせる。あなたの知恵の麗しさに向かって彼らは剣を抜き、あなたのまばゆい輝きを汚し、8 あなたを滅びの穴に投げ入れる。あなたは海のただ中で刺し殺された者の死を遂げる。エゼキエル書 28章 4〜8節

【観察】この後、預言通り、ツロはバビロンの王ネブカドネツァルによって滅ぼされる（エゼキエル26:7）。ツロはビジネスで大成功を収めた。ツロには素晴らしい知恵を持った人達がいた。しかし、残念なことにその知恵を与えた神に栄光を返さず、自分を神かのように思ってしまったのだ。ツロは自分の高慢のゆえに、滅ばされることになる。

【適用】私はここから何を学ぶべきなのだろ高慢は本当の自分を見えなくし、自分の理想像（神）を自分だと思ってしまうことだ。高慢は滅びと直結していることを知り、自分の心が高慢になっていないか、絶えずチェックしよう。

【祈り】主よ、高慢は恐ろしいものです。自分を見えなくし、自分を神にしてしまう恐ろしいものです。主よ、私に高慢の恐ろしさをもっと教えてください。聖霊様、私の心が絶えずへりくだっているよう、日々軌道修整してください。宜しくお願い致します！🙇🙏

【Scripture】Ezekiel 28:4-8 NIV[4] By your wisdom and understanding you have gained wealth for yourself and amassed gold and silver in your treasuries. [5] By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud. [6] “ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “ ‘Because you think you are wise, as wise as a god, [7] I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most ruthless of nations; they will draw their swords against your beauty and wisdom and pierce your shining splendor. [8] They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die a violent death in the heart of the seas.

【Observation】Later, as prophesied, Tyre was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon (Ezekiel 26:7). Tyre achieved great success in business. Tyre had people of remarkable wisdom. Unfortunately, however, they did not give glory to God, who had given them that wisdom, but instead thought of themselves as gods. Tyre was destroyed because of its pride.

【Application】What should I learn from this? Pride blinds us to our true selves and leads us to mistake our ideal image (God) for ourselves. Knowing that pride is directly linked to destruction, let us constantly examine our hearts to see if they have become prideful.

【Prayer】Lord, pride is a terrifying thing. It blinds us to who we truly are and turns us into gods. Lord, please teach me more about the horror of pride.Holy Spirit, please guide me daily so that my heart may remain humble at all times. I ask this in Your name! 🙇🙏
