【知恵の初め The Beginning of Wisdom】

【御言葉】知恵の初めそれは主を恐れること。これを行う人はみな賢明さを得る。主の誉れは永遠に立つ。詩篇 111篇 10節

【観察】主を恐れることが知恵の始まり。主を恐れないのは知恵のスタートラインにも立っていない。もしいのちを失うなら、その知恵には本当に意味がない。また主の言葉を聞くだけでは賢明さは得られない。主の言葉を行なうならば、行う者全員に賢明さが与えられる。

【適用】私達にいのちを与える知恵は主の言葉にあり、主の言葉を恐れ、尊ぶ。また主の言葉を聞くだけの者ではなく、実行する。そうすれば、主の賢明さを得る。

【祈り】主よ、この世の知恵は永遠のいのちに導きません。あなたを恐れることが、私を永遠のいのちに導きます。またあなたの言葉を行うことにより、私に賢明さを与えてください。聞くだけの者となることがありませんように。🙏

【Scripture】Psalms 111:10 NIV[10] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

【Observation】The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Those who do not fear the Lord have not even reached the starting line of wisdom. If one were to lose their life, that wisdom would truly be meaningless. Furthermore, simply hearing the Lord’s word is not enough to gain wisdom. If one puts the Lord’s word into practice, wisdom will be granted to all who do so.

【Application】The wisdom that gives us life is found in the Lord’s word; we must fear and honor the Lord’s word. Furthermore, we must not merely hear the Lord’s word, but put it into practice. By doing so, we will gain the Lord’s wisdom.

【Prayer】Lord, the wisdom of this world does not lead to eternal life. It is the fear of You that leads me to eternal life. Please grant me wisdom as I put Your word into practice. May I never be one who merely hears. 🙏
