【私達に聖さを預からせる神 God Who Enables Us to Share in His Holiness】

【御言葉】6 主はその愛する者を訓練し、受け入れるすべての子に、むちを加えられるのだから。」10 肉の父はわずかの間、自分が良いと思うことにしたがって私たちを訓練しましたが、霊の父は私たちの益のために、私たちをご自分の聖さにあずからせようとして訓練されるのです。ヘブル人への手紙 12章6, 10節

【観察】主は私達を自分の聖さに預からせようと訓練される。もし私達が神の子であるなら、もれなく全員にこの聖めの訓練があると言うことだ。大体の場合、神は試練を用い、私達の動機を正し、私達の心を聖めようとする。それは、罪が住んでいる私達にとっては辛いことだと思う。

【適用】その神の聖さに預からせる訓練を私が望もうと、また望まないとしても、その訓練は必ず来る。だったら、その訓練を避けることに力を注ぐのではなく、自ら進んで、その訓練を楽しむことを選ぼう。

【祈り】主よ、あなたは私があなたの聖さと真逆の人間であることをご存知でしょう。しかし、あなたはあなたの聖さを私に預からせようとされるお方であることを感謝致します。あなただけが私の心を聖めてくださるお方です。辛い訓練ですが、喜んで、あなたの訓練を受けることが出来ますように。🙏

【Scripture】Hebrews 12:6, 10 NIV[6] because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[10] They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.

【Observation】The Lord disciplines us so that we may share in His holiness. This means that if we are children of God, every single one of us—without exception—undergoes this discipline of sanctification. In most cases, God uses trials to correct our motives and sanctify our hearts. I imagine this is a painful experience for us, who are still sinners.

【Application】Whether I desire this training to share in God’s holiness or not, it will surely come. Therefore, rather than devoting my energy to avoiding it, I will choose to embrace it willingly and find joy in it.

【Prayer】Lord, You know that I am the very opposite of Your holiness. Yet I thank You that You are the One who desires to impart Your holiness to me. You alone are the One who can sanctify my heart. Though this training is difficult, may I joyfully receive Your training. 🙏
