【ワンモアマイル One More Mile】

【御言葉】”盗みをしている者は、もう盗んではいけません。むしろ、困っている人に分け与えるため、自分の手で正しい仕事をし、労苦して働きなさい。”エペソ人への手紙 4章 28節

【観察】私達が信じている神はワンモアマイルの神である。普通、悪いことをやめようと言う。しかし、神はそこで終わらない。悪いことをやめるだけでなく、良いことをするよう、私達を導くのだ。泥棒に対して、泥棒をやめるだけではなく、ちゃんとした仕事を見つけ、労苦して働き、その稼いだお金を使って、困っている人を助けろと言うのだ。「右の頬を打たれたら、左の頬を向けよ」「敵を愛せ」「呪う者を祝福せよ」すべて同じ一つの精神に基づいている。「ワンモアマイル＝復讐せずに祝福せよ」だ。我らの主はその通りに生きられた。そして、そのように生きるよう、私達も召されている。

【適用】嫌いな人に良いことをする。

【祈り】主よ、私には無理です。私は復讐したいのです。しかし、あなたは真逆のことを求められます。復讐せずに祝福せよと。イエス様、あなたはそのように生きられました。私もあなたのように生きられたらと願います。今日も、嫌いな人に良いことをします。🙏

【Scripture】Ephesians 4:28 NIV[28] Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

【Observation】The God we believe in is a God of “One More Mile.”Usually, people tell us to stop doing bad things. But God doesn’t stop there. He guides us not only to stop doing bad things, but also to do good things. To a thief, he says not just to stop stealing, but to find a proper job, work hard, and use the money earned to help those in need.“If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to them the other also,” “Love your enemies,” “Bless those who curse you”—all of these are based on the same spirit. It is “Go the Extra Mile = Bless, Do Not Seek Revenge.” Our Lord lived exactly that way. And He calls us to live that way as well.

【Application】Do good to those I dislike.

【Prayer】Lord, I can’t do this. I want to take revenge. But You ask for the exact opposite: to bless without seeking revenge. Jesus, You lived that way. I pray that I may live as You did. Today, I will do good to those I dislike. 🙏
