【捨てるもの？ What to Let Go Of？】

【御言葉】22 青年はこのことばを聞くと、悲しみながら立ち去った。多くの財産を持っていたからである。マタイの福音書 19章 22節

【観察】この金持ちの青年は多くの財産を持っていた。そして、この青年はキリストについていくことが出来なかった。なぜなら、キリストについていこうとするなら、必ずそれまでのライフスタイルを変え、何か捨てることを要求されるからだ。だから、自分にこう質問した方が良い。「キリストに従うために、邪魔しているもの（捨てるべきもの）は何ですか？」と。

【適用】私はメッセージの時、紙を見ている。そして、最近ある人からメッセージのため、タブレットをプレゼントするオファーを受けている。しかし、私は弱く、タブレットが与えられたら、もっと動画を観るようになるだろう。益よりも害の方が大きくなる。だから、そのタブレットは私にとって捨てるべきものなのだ。なので、そのオファーを断ろう。

【祈り】主よ、あなたはご存知です。私が喜んで、あなたに従うことを邪魔しているものを捨てようとはしていないことを。本当は喉から手が出るほど、タブレットがほしいのです。しかし、それは私にとって、ない方が良いものです。あなたへの愛を増し加えてください。🙏

【Scripture】Matthew 19:22 NIV[22] When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

【Observation】This rich young man had great wealth. And yet, he was unable to follow Christ.This is because, if one seeks to follow Christ, one is inevitably required to change one’s previous lifestyle and give up certain things.Therefore, it is better to ask oneself this question: “What is getting in the way of my following Christ—what should I let go of?”

【Application】I read from a paper during my messages. Recently, someone offered to give me a tablet for my messages. However, I am weak, and if I were given a tablet, I would likely end up watching more videos. The harm would outweigh the benefit. Therefore, that tablet is something I must let go of. So, I will decline the offer.

【Prayer】Lord, You know that I am not willingly letting go of the things that hinder me from following You with joy. The truth is, I want that tablet more than anything. But for me, it is something I am better off without. Please increase my love for You. 🙏
