【祈れ！ Pray!】

【御言葉】36 また、群衆を見て深くあわれまれた。彼らが羊飼いのいない羊の群れのように、弱り果てて倒れていたからである。37 そこでイエスは弟子たちに言われた。「収穫は多いが、働き手が少ない。38 だから、収穫の主に、ご自分の収穫のために働き手を送ってくださるように祈りなさい。」”マタイの福音書 9章 36〜38節

【観察】イエス様は群衆が羊飼いがいない羊のように、弱り果てて倒れているのを見て、彼らを憐れまれた。そこでイエス様は弟子達に「お前達が彼らの必要を満たしなさい。」とは言われなかった。私達は多くの場合、必要を見て、自分の力でその必要を満たそうとするのではないだろうか。しかし、イエス様が弟子達に「そのために祈りなさい」と言われた。まず私がすべきことは、必要を満たすことが出来る神に祈ることである。しかし、私は神に祈るより、自分の方がもっと出来ると思っている。だから、私は神に求めない。そして、私は神に祈っていない。😭

【適用】神に祈らない時、私は必ず高慢になっている。悔い改め、神がその必要を満たすことが出来ると信じ、神に求める。

【祈り】主よ、私は高慢になっていて、あなたを求めていませんでした。私がその必要を満たすことが出来ると思い上がっていたことを赦してください。私は人間で、その必要を満たすことなど初めから出来ないのです。しかし、あなたはその必要を満たすことが出来ます。ですから、あなたに求めます。収穫の主よ、もっと人々が養われるため、また人々が救われるため、働き人を送ってください。🙏

【Scripture】Matthew 9:36-38 NASB2020[36] Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd. [37] Then He *said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. [38] Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

【Observation】When Jesus saw the crowd, exhausted and lying helpless like sheep without a shepherd, He had compassion on them. Yet He did not tell His disciples, “You must meet their needs.”In many cases, when we see a need, don’t we try to meet it with our own strength? But Jesus told His disciples, “Pray for that.” The first thing I should do is pray to God, who is able to meet those needs. Yet, I think I can do more than God can. That is why I do not ask God. And so, I am not praying to God. 😭

【Application】When I do not pray to God, I am surely being prideful. I will repent, believe that God can meet those needs, and ask Him.

【Prayer】Lord, I have been prideful and have not sought You. Please forgive me for presuming that I could meet those needs myself. I am only human, and I cannot meet those needs to begin with. But You can meet them. Therefore, I ask You. Lord of the harvest, please send workers so that more people may be fed and saved. 🙏
