【主よ、お心一つで私をきよくすることがおできになります！ Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean!】

【御言葉】2 すると見よ。ツァラアトに冒された人がみもとに来て、イエスに向かってひれ伏し、「主よ、お心一つで私をきよくすることがおできになります」と言った。3 イエスは手を伸ばして彼にさわり、「わたしの心だ。きよくなれ」と言われた。すると、すぐに彼のツァラアトはきよめられた。マタイの福音書 8章 2〜3節

【観察】その当時、医師では治せない伝染性の皮膚病があった。それをらい病、またはハンセン病と訳していたが、はっきりと特定出来ないため、日本語では原語の発音でツァラアトと記している。この当時、不治の病いであるため、その病気の人達は隔離され、汚れた人達とされていた。だから、彼らに触ることなど、タブーであった。イエス様は言えば事は起こすことが出来る神である。イエス様が言うだけで、その人は癒されたはずだ。しかし、イエス様は彼にわざと触ったのである。確かに肉体の癒しだけなら、触る必要はないだろう。しかし、イエス様はもしかしたら、肉体の痛み以上に、彼の心の痛みも理解していたのではないだろうか？彼がどれほど長い間、人から触れらなかったか分からない。しかし、相当長い間、人から触られることなどなかったと推測できる。彼は触れられた後にイエス様から言われた。「わたしの心だ。」と。その触るという行為は彼にとって、愛のメッセージだったに違いない。それがその人にとって、どれほど嬉しいことだっただろうか。

【適用】私もイエス様に触れてもらう。

【祈り】主よ、私を憐れんでください。イエス様、私は身体も心も傷ついています。どうか「わたしの心だ」と言って、私の身体に、私の心に触れてください。そうすれば、私は癒されます。あのツァラアトの男性に触られたように、私にも触ってください。私の主よ！🙏

【Scripture】Matthew 8:2-3 NASB2020[2] And a man with leprosy came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” [3] Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

【Observation】At that time, there was a contagious skin disease that doctors could not cure. It was translated as “leprosy” or “Hansen’s disease,” but since it cannot be clearly identified, the Japanese bible uses the original pronunciation, “tsaraat.” At that time, because it was considered an incurable disease, those afflicted were isolated and regarded as unclean. Therefore, touching them was strictly taboo.Jesus is God, capable of bringing about anything He speaks. Simply by speaking, He could have healed the man. Yet, Jesus deliberately touched him. Certainly, if it were only a matter of physical healing, there would have been no need to touch him. But perhaps Jesus understood the pain in his heart even more than his physical pain? We don’t know how long it had been since anyone had touched him. However, we can surmise that it had been quite a long time since anyone had touched him.After being touched, Jesus said to him, “I am willing” then the act of touching must have been a message of love to him. How joyful that must have been for him.

【Application】I, too, want to be touched by Jesus.

【Prayer】Lord, have mercy on me. Jesus, my body and my heart are wounded.Please say, “I am willing” and touch my body and my heart. Then I will be healed. Just as You touched that man with leprosy, please touch me as well. Oh, My Lord! 🙏
