【神の御心は必ずなる！God’s Will Shall Surely Be Done!】

【御言葉】4 ヘロデはペテロを捕らえて牢に入れ、四人一組の兵士四組に引き渡して監視させた。過越の祭りの後に、彼を民衆の前に引き出すつもりでいたのである。6 ヘロデが彼を引き出そうとしていた日の前夜、ペテロは二本の鎖につながれて、二人の兵士の間で眠っていた。戸口では番兵たちが牢を監視していた。11 そのとき、ペテロは我に返って言った。「今、本当のことが分かった。主が御使いを遣わして、ヘロデの手から、またユダヤの民のすべてのもくろみから、私を救い出してくださったのだ。」使徒の働き 12章4, 6, 11節
【観察】ペテロは絶対に逃げられなかった。ペテロは1本ではなく、2本の鎖につながれ、彼のそばには2人の兵士、牢の入り口には2人の番兵が立っていた。全員で16人の兵士がペテロが逃げないように、一組4人を4組作り、ローテーションでペテロを監視した。ペテロが次の日、処刑されることは人間的目からは不可能だった。ヘロデはペテロが逃げ出さないように鉄壁の守りをしていたからだ。しかし、神様にとって、不可能なことは何一つない。
【適用】ペテロは絶体絶命だったのに、神様によって、助け出された。ペテロにはまだやることがあり、死ぬ時ではなかった。つまり、神の御心だけがなるということである。
【祈り】主よ、ペテロのように私達がもうダメだと思う時、そんな時にもあなたは事を行われます。どんな時にもあなたに信頼して、歩むことが出来ますように。あなたの御心は必ず行われると信じ続けることが出来ますように。🙏
【Scripture】“After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover.The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.””Acts 12:4, 6, 11 NIV
【Observation】There was absolutely no way Peter could have escaped. He was bound not with one but with two chains; two soldiers stood beside him, and two guards stood at the entrance to the cell. A total of 16 soldiers,divided into four groups of four, took turns guarding Peter to ensure he could not escape. From a human perspective, it was impossible for Peter to avoid execution the next day, because Herod had set up an impenetrable defense to prevent his escape. However, nothing is impossible for God.
【Application】Peter was in a desperate situation, yet he was rescued by God. Peter still had a mission to fulfill; it was not yet his time to die. In other words, only God’s will is done.
【Prayer】Lord, just as You acted on behalf of Peter when he thought all was lost, You work even in such moments. May we trust in You and walk with You at all times. May we continue to believe that Your will is always done. 🙏
