【あなたの愛に押し出されて Driven by Your Love】

【御言葉】”イエスは三度目もペテロに、「ヨハネの子シモン。あなたはわたしを愛していますか」と言われた。ペテロは、イエスが三度目も「あなたはわたしを愛していますか」と言われたので、心を痛めてイエスに言った。「主よ、あなたはすべてをご存じです。あなたは、私があなたを愛していることを知っておられます。」イエスは彼に言われた。「わたしの羊を飼いなさい。”ヨハネの福音書 21章 17節

【観察】この時、ペテロは3回もイエス様から「あなたはわたしを愛するか？」と質問された。本当なら、「はい、私はあなたを愛します。」と言いたいところだが、ペテロは言えなかった。なぜなら、イエス様を知らないと3回も拒絶したことを恥じていたからだ。そんなペテロが言えたのは「私があなたを愛しているのはあなたがご存知です」という答えだった。そう言うのが精一杯の答えだったのだと私は思う。そして、イエス様はペテロの愛を確認した後、直ぐに「わたしを愛するなら、わたしの羊を養いなさい。」と任命している。私達にとって、キリストの使命を果たすことは、キリストへの愛である。

【適用】イエス様が言われたことを行うのは、イエス様を愛すること。愛と行動は比例する。

【祈り】主よ、私はあなたへの愛がとても少ないことを覚えます。なぜなら、あなたに言われたことを行っていないからです。だから、あなたへの愛がないことが分かります。主よ、あなたへの愛を増し加えてください。あなたの愛に押し出されて、あなたの言われたことを私が行うことが出来ますように。弱い私を憐れんでください。🙏

【Scripture】John 21:17 NIV[17] The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.

【Observation】At this moment, Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?” Normally, Peter would have wanted to say, “Yes, I love you,” but he could not bring himself to say it. This was because he was ashamed of having denied knowing Jesus three times. All Peter could manage to say was, “You know that I love you.” I believe that was the best answer he could muster.And after confirming Peter’s love, Jesus immediately commissioned him, saying, “If you love me, feed my sheep.” For us, fulfilling Christ’s mission is what it means to love Christ.

【Application】Doing what Jesus said—that is what it means to love Jesus. Love and action go hand in hand.

【Prayer】Lord, I realize that my love for You is far too small. This is because I am not doing what You have told me to do. That is why I know I lack love for You.Lord, please increase my love for You. Move me by Your love so that I may do what You have told me to do. Have mercy on me, for I am weak. 🙏
