【正義より愛 Love Over Justice】

【御言葉】39 過越の祭りでは、だれか一人をおまえたちのために釈放する慣わしがある。おまえたちは、ユダヤ人の王を釈放することを望むか。」40すると、彼らは再び大声をあげて、「その人ではなく、バラバを」と言った。バラバは強盗であった。ヨハネの福音書 18章 39〜40節

【観察】強盗のバラバは釈放され、罪を犯さなかったイエス様は処刑される。私達の罪のため、罪ない者が処罰される。これはフェアではないし、間違っている。しかし、愛というものは善悪の枠を超えたところにある。本当なら、私達はバラバであり、私達全員は自分の罪のため、十字架にかけられるはずだった。それが正義だ。しかし、愛はそれを超え、罪ある者を生かすため、罪ある者の身代わりとなり、十字架にかかった。これはただただ神の愛である。

【適用】イエス様が私の代わりに死んでくれた愛を忘れないようにしよう。

【祈り】主よ、本当なら私が自分の罪のため、十字架にかからなければなならい者でした。しかし、あなたは私を生かすため、十字架にかかり、十字架から降りることは出来たのに、死に至るまで十字架の上に留まってくださいました。ありがとうございます！あなたの愛を日々、忘れないようにしてください。🙏

【Scripture】John 18:39-40 NIV[39] But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release ‘the king of the Jews’?” [40] They shouted back, “No, not him! Give us Barabbas!” Now Barabbas had taken part in an uprising.

【Observation】Barabbas, a robber, was released, while Jesus, who had committed no sin, was executed. An innocent person was punished for our sins. This is neither fair nor right. However, love exists beyond the boundaries of good and evil. In reality, we are Barabbas, and all of us should have been crucified for our own sins. That would be justice. Yet love transcends that; to save the sinful, He took our place and was crucified. This is nothing but God’s love.

【Application】Let us never forget the love with which Jesus died in my place.

【Prayer】Lord, I am the one who, in truth, should have been crucified for my own sins. Yet, to save me, You were crucified; and even though You could have come down from the cross, You remained there until death. Thank You! Please help me never to forget Your love each and every day. 🙏
