【裁くことは神がすること Judgment Belongs to God】

【御言葉】11 兄弟たち、互いに悪口を言い合ってはいけません。自分の兄弟について悪口を言ったり、さばいたりする者は、律法について悪口を言い、律法をさばいているのです。もしあなたが律法をさばくなら、律法を行う者ではなく、さばく者です。12 律法を定め、さばきを行う方はただひとりで、救うことも滅ぼすこともできる方です。隣人をさばくあなたは、いったい何者ですか。ヤコブの手紙 4章 11〜12節

【観察】私達は物事の善悪を見分けることは必要だ。しかし、自分を神の立場に置いて、人を断罪することは許されていない。「隣人を愛しなさい。」と言われた神の律法に従わず、まるで神の地位に自分を置き、人を裁いている。人を裁くことは神だけなのに、まるで自分が神にでもなったかのようだ。私がキリストを信じる兄弟姉妹の悪口を言う時、私は神になっているのだ。

【適用】私が人の悪口を言う時、私は神になって、裁いていることを認め、悔い改め、へりくだる。

【祈り】主よ、私は人を裁く時、神になっていました。高慢になっていました。私が神になっていたことを赦してください。悔い改めます。裁くのはあなたがなさることです。私はすることはその人のために祈り、愛することです。🙏

【Scripture】James 4:11-12 NIV[11] Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. [12] There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

【Observation】We need to be able to discern right from wrong. However, we are not permitted to place ourselves in God’s position and condemn others. By failing to obey God’s law—“Love your neighbor”—we are effectively placing ourselves in God’s position and judging others. Though only God has the right to judge, we act as if we ourselves have become God. When I speak ill of my brothers and sisters who believe in Christ, I am acting as if I were God.

【Application】When I speak ill of others, I acknowledge that I have been acting as God and passing judgment; I repent and humble myself.

【Prayer】Lord, when I judged others, I was acting as God. I was being arrogant. Please forgive me for acting as God. I repent. Judging is Your work. What I should do is pray for that person and love them. 🙏
