【偉大な大祭司、イエス様 Jesus, the Great High Priest】

【御言葉】26 このような方、敬虔で、悪も汚れもなく、罪人から離され、また天よりも高く上げられた大祭司こそ、私たちにとってまさに必要な方です。27 イエスは、ほかの大祭司たちのように、まず自分の罪のために、次に民の罪のために、毎日いけにえを献げる必要はありません。イエスは自分自身を献げ、ただ一度でそのことを成し遂げられたからです。28 律法は、弱さを持つ人間たちを大祭司に立てますが、律法の後から来た誓いのみことばは、永遠に完全な者とされた御子を立てるのです。ヘブル人への手紙 7章 26〜28節
【観察】祭司の務めは神と人の間に立つ仲介者である。天の父は私達を愛しているが、私達の罪のため、怒っておられる。その神の怒りを贖うため、宥めの捧げ物が必要となるのだ。もしイエス様が来られなかったら、私達は今も自分達の罪のため、動物を捧げなければならなかった。天の父が持っておられる燃えるような怒りはイエス様が流されたその血潮を見る時、その怒りは消え去るのである。そして、律法では成し得なかった私達を義とすることも、イエス様によって、私達は義とされた。それがどれ程、すごいことなのか私達は知らない。
【適用】ご自分を捧げられ、すべてを成就した大祭司であるイエス様を知る。
【祈り】主よ、私はあなたのことをまだまだ知りません。あなたがどんなすごいことをしてくださったか、良く分からないのです。主よ、私の目を開き、偉大な大祭司がどれ程のものなのか、知ることが出来ますように。頭ではなく、心で分かるようにしてください。🙏
【Scripture】Hebrews 7:26-28 NIV[26] Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. [27] Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. [28] For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.
【Observation】]The role of a priest is to serve as a mediator between God and humanity. Our Heavenly Father loves us, but He is angry because of our sins. A sacrifice of atonement is necessary to appease God’s wrath. If Jesus had not come, we would still have to offer animals as sacrifices for our sins. The burning wrath of our Heavenly Father is extinguished the moment we behold the blood that Jesus shed. And through Jesus, we have been made righteous—something the Law could never accomplish. We do not fully grasp just how amazing this is.
【Application】To know Jesus, the High Priest who offered Himself and fulfilled everything.
【Prayer】Lord, I still do not know You well enough. I do not fully understand the amazing things You have done for me. Lord, please open my eyes so that I may know just how great You are as the High Priest. Help me to understand this not with my head, but with my heart. 🙏
