【キリストにあって In Christ】

【御言葉】16 いつも喜んでいなさい。17 絶えず祈りなさい。18 すべてのことにおいて感謝しなさい。これが、キリスト・イエスにあって神があなたがたに望んでおられることです。テサロニケ人への手紙第一 5章 16〜18節

【観察】①いつも喜ぶ。②絶えず祈る。③すべてのことにおいて感謝する。天の父はこの3つのことを私達に望んでいる。しかし、もし私がこの地上の人生を見るなら、その3つのどれも守れない。そこで、鍵となるのが「キリストにあって」という言葉だ。つまり、キリストが私にしてくれたことに目を向ければ、私はいつも喜ぶことができるし、絶えず祈ることができるし、すべてのことの中にあって感謝を選ぶことができると言っているのだと思う。だから、他の箇所で信仰の創設者であるキリストから目を離すなと言っているのだ。

【適用】私はこの地上の人生に目を向けるのではなく、私はキリストにあって、すべての罪が赦され、永遠のいのちが与えられ、永遠に朽ちない体が与えられ、永遠に生きる者と変えられ、天国へ行ける。今日もキリストがしてくださったことに目を向けよう。

【祈り】主よ、あなたに感謝します。あなたが私にしてくださったことを見、いつも喜びます。絶えず祈ります。すべてのことの中から感謝することを選べます。あなたのゆえに。どうか、いつもあなたに目を向け続けることが出来ますように。🙏

【Scripture】16 Rejoice always.17 Pray continually.18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

【Observation】① Rejoice always.② Pray continually.③ Give thanks in all circumstances.Our Heavenly Father desires these three things from us. However, if I look at my life on this earth, I cannot keep any of them.Therefore, the key phrase is “in Christ.” In other words, I believe this means that if I focus on what Christ has done for me, I can always rejoice, pray without ceasing, and choose to give thanks in all circumstances. That is why other passages tell us not to take our eyes off Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith.

【Application】Instead of focusing on my life on earth, I am in Christ—all my sins are forgiven, I have been given eternal life, I will receive an imperishable body, I will be transformed into an eternal being, and I will go to heaven. Today, let me focus on what Christ has done for me.

【Prayer】Lord, I thank You. I look at what You have done for me and rejoice always. I pray without ceasing. I choose to give thanks in all things—for Your sake. Please help me to keep my eyes fixed on You always. 🙏
