【私は罰せられない! I Will Not Be Punished!】

【御言葉】”愛には恐れがありません。全き愛は恐れを締め出します。恐れには罰が伴い、恐れる者は、愛において全きものとなっていないのです。”ヨハネの手紙第一 4章 18節

【観察】愛に恐れはない。もし私達に恐れがあり、自分は神から罰せられると信じているなら、神の愛を本当の意味で分かっていない。私はキリストを信じた後も、牧師になった後も、罪を犯す弱い人間である。その都度、罪を告白し、神に立ち返るが、私は神に裁かれ、罰を受けるだろうか？もし私が罰を受けると言うのなら、キリストの十字架は何だったのか？キリストの十字架はそんな不完全なものだったのか？絶対、そんなことはない！愛は恐れを吹き飛ばすのだ。

【適用】キリストを信じる私が、神から罰せられるなどと、十字架の贖いが不完全だと不信仰にならないように、また神の愛に留まり続ける。

【祈り】主よ、あなたの愛は完全で変わりません。私が罪を犯した時、あなたから罰せられるのではないかという疑いが来ますが、あなたの十字架で私の罪は完全に贖われたので、キリストにあるならば、決して私は罰せられないのです。あなたの十字架に感謝します。あなたの愛に感謝します。🙏

【Scripture】1 John 4:18 NIV[18] There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

【Observation】There is no fear in love. If we have fear and believe that we will be punished by God, then we do not truly understand God’s love. Even after I came to believe in Christ, and even after becoming a pastor, I remain a weak human being who sins. Each time I sin, I confess it and turn back to God—but will I be judged and punished by God? If I were to say that I will be punished, then what was the point of Christ’s cross? Was Christ’s cross really that incomplete? Absolutely not! Love drives out fear.

【Application】As a believer in Christ, I will continue to abide in God’s love so that I do not fall into unbelief—such as thinking I will be punished by God—and thus imply that the atonement of the cross is incomplete.

【Prayer】Lord, Your love is perfect and unchanging. When I sin, doubts arise that You might punish me, but since my sins were completely atoned for on Your cross, as long as I am in Christ, I will never be punished. I thank You for Your cross. I thank You for Your love. 🙏
