【キリストのために苦しむことは私の生活の一部 Suffering for Christ Is Part of My Life】

【御言葉】”あなたがたがキリストのために受けた恵みは、キリストを信じることだけでなく、キリストのために苦しむことでもあるのです。”ピリピ人への手紙 1章 29節

【観察】私達が神様から受けた恵みにはキリストを信じることで得る祝福と、キリストを信じるがゆえに受ける苦しみもある。日本人のほとんどが家族の中で初めてクリスチャンになる第1世代である。私達がクリスチャンになった途端、家族、友達や会社からの反対や迫害、この世からの誘惑など、それまでにはなかった戦いの中に入る。クリスチャンになるとは、キリストのために苦しむことでもある。

【適用】キリストを信じるとは、キリストによって受ける恵みだけでなく、キリストによって受ける苦しみもあることを受け入れる。

【祈り】主よ、私達はキリストにある恵みだけを強調し、キリストにある苦しみを伝えてこなかったと思います。私達の信仰を守る戦いは、私達が死ぬまで続くというのに。主よ、あなたにある苦しみを受け入れます。私があなたの苦しみを受けることは私にとって生活の一部であると信じます。🙏

【Scripture】Philippians 1:29 NIV[29] For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

【Observation】The grace we have received from God includes both the blessings we gain by believing in Christ and the suffering we endure because we believe in Him. Most Japanese Christians are first-generation believers, the first in their families to become Christians. The moment we become Christians, we enter into battles we had never faced before—opposition and persecution from family, friends, and the workplace, as well as temptations from the world. Becoming a Christian also means suffering for Christ.

【Application】To believe in Christ is to accept not only the grace we receive through Christ, but also the suffering we endure because of Christ.

【Prayer】Lord, I think we have emphasized only the grace found in Christ and have failed to speak of the suffering found in Christ. Yet the battle to defend our faith will continue until we die.Lord, I accept the suffering found in You. I believe that bearing Your suffering is a part of my life. 🙏
