【私は既に神から受けている I Have Already Received from God】

【御言葉】15 母の胎から出て来たときのように、裸で、来たときの姿で戻って行く。自分の労苦によって得る、自分の自由にすることのできるものを、何一つ持って行くことはない。18 見よ。私が良いと見たこと、好ましいこととは、こうだ。神がその人に与えたいのちの日数の間、日の下で骨折るすべての労苦にあって、良き物を楽しみ、食べたり飲んだりすることだ。これが人の受ける分なのだ。伝道者の書 5章15, 18

【観察】私達は自分達の労苦によって、この地上で富を得る。しかし、その富はこの地上に属しており、何一つ持っていくことは出来ない。裸で来て、裸で帰るからだ。この地上での労苦から得られる楽しみは食べたり、飲んだりすること。聖書の他の箇所では「衣食があれば満足しなさい。」とある。聖書の満足レベルはとても低い。それで良いのだ。

【適用】聖書の満足レベルに自分を合わせる。

【祈り】主よ、私には欲があり、食べること、飲むことを楽しむ以上を常に求めてしまいます。また衣食だけでなく、もっと良いところに住みたいという欲もあります。しかし、それらを捨て、あなたの満足レベルに自分を合わせます。私はあなたにあって満たされ、毎日、食べるもの、飲むものがあることを感謝します。私は人が受けるべきものを既にあなたから受けていることに感謝します。🙏

【Scripture】Ecclesiastes 5:15, 18 NIV[15] Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands.[18] This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.

【Observation】Through our labor, we acquire wealth on this earth. However, that wealth belongs to this world, and we cannot take a single thing with us. For we come naked and we return naked.The pleasure gained from our labor on this earth is eating and drinking. Another passage in the Bible says, “Be content with food and clothing.” The Bible’s standard for contentment is very low. And that is just fine.

【Application】I will align myself with the Bible’s standard of contentment.

【Prayer】Lord, I am greedy and always seek more than just the enjoyment of eating and drinking. I also have a desire not only for food and clothing but to live in a better place. However, I will cast these aside and align myself with Your standard of contentment. I am satisfied in You, and I give thanks every day for the food and drink I have. I am grateful that I have already received from You what a person should receive. 🙏
