【善をもって悪に打ち勝つ？ Overcoming Evil with Good?】

【御言葉】19 愛する者たち、自分で復讐してはいけません。神の怒りにゆだねなさい。こう書かれているからです。「復讐はわたしのもの。わたしが報復する。」主はそう言われます。21 悪に負けてはいけません。むしろ、善をもって悪に打ち勝ちなさい。ローマ人への手紙 12章10, 21節

【観察】本当に聖書は私達が守れないことが沢山書かれている。人から悪いことをされても、やり返さず、善で返せと。また14節では「あなたを迫害する人を祝福せよ」とある。無理！と叫びたくなる！しかし、私達はその自分達の肉的思いを治め、主に従うように、悪に対し善を行うよう神様から求められている。

【適用】自分で復讐したい。やられたら、それ以上でやり返したい。しかし、それは主に従わず、主を悲しませること。裁きは主に任せ、逆に良いことを考え、それを行う。

【祈り】主よ、自分がしたいことではなく、あなたのしたいことが私の望みとなりますように。自分にフォーカスするのではなく、あなたの御心にフォーカスすることが出来ますように。良いもので悪に打ち勝つことが出来ますように。人を祝福する者に私を変えてください。🙏

【Scripture】Romans 12:19, 21 NIV[19] Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. [21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

【Observation】The Bible truly contains many things we cannot keep. It tells us not to retaliate when others do us wrong, but to repay them with good. Furthermore, verse 14 says, “Bless those who persecute you.” I want to cry out, “That’s impossible!” However, God calls us to subdue our fleshly desires, obey the Lord, and do good in the face of evil.

【Application】I want to take revenge myself. When I’m wronged, I want to strike back even harder. But that is disobedience to the Lord and causes Him sorrow. I will leave judgment to the Lord, and instead, I will think of good things and do them.

【Prayer】Lord, may Your will—not my own—be my desire. Help me to focus not on myself, but on Your will. Grant me the strength to overcome evil with good. Transform me into someone who blesses others. 🙏
