【私の平安、私の安心 My Peace, My Security】

【御言葉】1 さて、サタンがイスラエルに向かって立ち上がり、イスラエルの人口を数えるように、ダビデをそそのかした。2 ダビデはヨアブと民の長たちに言った。「さあ、ベエル・シェバからダンに至るまでのイスラエルを数え、私に報告しなさい。その人数を私が知るためだ。」歴代誌第一 21章 1〜2節

【観察】なぜ人数を数えることが問題なのか？ダビデは自分の国の軍隊の規模を知りたくなった。つまり、神のものから、自分の軍隊になった瞬間である。サタンが私達に神以外のものを見せ、神に依り頼まないようにする。それは彼の常套手段だ。そして、私達はその悪魔の誘惑につい乗ってしまうのだ。

【適用】私は神以外のもの、自分の持ち物や人気を確認して、安心を得ようとする。貯金通帳を何度も確認したり、SNSで自分のフォロアー数を確認したりなど。しかし、私に安心を与えてくれるのは神のみである。

【祈り】主よ、あなたが本当の平安、安心を与えてくれるのに、自分の預金額を調べたり、SNSのフォロアー数を調べたりしていました。それは私が不安になっていた証拠です。あなたに目が向いていなかったことを悔い改めます。私の不安をあなたにお捧げします。あなたは今日も私の平安、私の安心です。🙏

【Scripture】1 Chronicles 21:1-2 NIV[1] Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel. [2] So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, “Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”

【Observation】Why is taking a census a problem?David wanted to know the size of his kingdom’s army. In other words, this was the moment when what belonged to God became his own army.Satan shows us things other than God to keep us from relying on Him. That is his standard tactic. And we end up falling for that devilish temptation.

【Application】I try to find peace by checking on things other than God—my possessions or my popularity. I check my bank account repeatedly or look at my follower count on social media. But only God can give me true peace.

【Prayer】Lord, even though You are the source of true peace and security, I was checking my bank balance and my social media follower count. That is proof that I was feeling anxious. I repent for not keeping my eyes fixed on You.I offer my anxiety to You. You are my peace and my security today as well. 🙏
