【人よりあなたを求める Seeking You Above All Others】

【御言葉】”サムエルは朝まで寝て、それから主の家の扉を開けた。サムエルは、この黙示のことをエリに知らせるのを恐れた。”サムエル記第一 3章 15節

【観察】子どもサムエルにとって、自分の育ての親のようなエリに、神からの厳しい黙示を伝えるのはとても恐ろしかったに違いない。誰だって、好きな人に厳しいことなど、言いたくないからだ。しかし、預言者は神から預かった言葉はどんなことがあっても伝えなければならない。これは幼いサムエルに与えられた、最初の預言者としてのテストであった。それは人より神を大切にするというテストだ。しかし、人より神を大切にすることはサムエルだけでなく、私達すべてのクリスチャンに言われていることではないだろうか。

【適用】人を恐れず、神を恐れること。

【祈り】主よ、私は人から好かれたいのです。また人から嫌われたくありません。しかし、それではあなたに従えません。私の主はあなたです。主よ、私があなた以上に人からの受け入れを求め、人からの拒絶を恐れることがありませんように。人よりあなたを求める者と変えてください。🙏

【Scripture】1 Samuel 3:15 NIV[15] Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the Lord. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision,

【Observation】For the young Samuel, it must have been terrifying to convey a stern message from God to Eli, who was like a foster father to him. After all, no one wants to say harsh things to someone they care about. However, a prophet must deliver the words entrusted to him by God no matter what. This was the first test given to young Samuel as a prophet. It was a test of whether he valued God more than people. But isn’t valuing God more than people something that applies not only to Samuel but to all of us Christians?

【Application】Do not fear people; fear God.

【Prayer】Lord, I want to be liked by people. I also do not want to be disliked by them.But if I do that, I cannot follow You. You are my Lord!Lord, please help me not to seek acceptance from people more than I seek You, nor to fear rejection from them. Transform me into someone who seeks You more than people. 🙏
