【イエス様を見上げよ！ Look Up to Jesus!】

【御言葉】”モーセは一つの青銅の蛇を作り、それを旗ざおの上に付けた。蛇が人をかんでも、その人が青銅の蛇を仰ぎ見ると生きた。”民数記 21章 9節

【観察】イエス様のことを考えながら、旧約聖書を読むとあちらこちらにイエス様のことが書かれているから面白い。この時、イスラエルの民はマナに飽き飽きして、主とモーセに文句を言い、神は燃える蛇を遣わして、噛まれた者は死んだ。イスラエルの民は助けを求め、神は民が生きるように解決策を与えた。罪を犯した者は青銅の蛇を見上げれば生きるという解決策だ。これもイエス様の型である。青銅の蛇を見上げた者が生きたように、今の私達もイエス様を見上げれば、信じれば、生きるということだ。その原則は今も変わらない。

【適用】誰でも青銅の蛇を見るだけで命が助かったように、誰でもイエス様を信じるだけで、霊的に死ぬことなく、永遠に生きる者となる。救われるためにとても低いハードルを設定してくれた神に感謝しつつ、イエス様を見上げ続ける。

【祈り】主よ、あなたを一度信じることより、この世は誘惑が多く信じ続けることの方が難しいです。しかし、聖書の原則は変わりません。あなたを見上げれば、救いがあります。イエス様、今日もあなたを見上げます。🙏

【Scripture】Numbers 21:9 NIV[9] So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.

【Observation】Reading the Old Testament while thinking about Jesus is fascinating because references to Him appear throughout.At that time, the Israelites grew weary of the manna and complained against the Lord and Moses. God sent fiery serpents among them, and those bitten died. The Israelites cried out for help, and God provided a solution for their survival: whoever looked at the bronze serpent would live.This too is a type of Jesus. Just as those who looked at the bronze serpent lived, so we today, if we look to Jesus and believe, will live. That principle remains unchanged.

【Application】Just as anyone could be saved by merely looking at the bronze serpent, anyone can become spiritually alive and live eternally simply by believing in Jesus Christ. Giving thanks to God for setting such a low bar for salvation, we continue to look up to Jesus.

【Prayer】Lord, in this world full of temptations, it is harder to keep believing in You than to believe once. Yet the principle of Scripture remains unchanged: looking up to You brings salvation. Jesus, today I look up to You.🙏
