【自分の梁を取り除け！Remove the Plank from Your Own Eye!】

【御言葉】”あなた自身、自分の目にある梁が見えていないのに、兄弟に対して『兄弟、あなたの目のちりを取り除かせてください』と、どうして言えるのですか。偽善者よ、まず自分の目から梁を取り除きなさい。そうすれば、兄弟の目のちりがはっきり見えるようになって、取り除くことができます。”ルカの福音書 6章 42節

【観察】別の訳で、ちりは木くず、梁は丸太と訳されている。目に丸太があったら、目は見えないただろう。他人の小さな問題は見えるのに、自分の内の大きな問題は見えないことをイエス様は私達に教えている。その自分の中の問題を取り除くなら、見えるようになり、他の人を助けられるようになるとイエス様は言われている。私の梁とは何だろうか？

【適用】私にはコントロール問題があると思う。なぜなら、私はコントロールしようとする人を見て、裁いているからだ。では裁いている自分はどうなのか？私自身も不安から状況をコントロールしてしまっているのだ。

【祈り】主よ、自分も状況をコントロールしようとしているのに、自分は良くて、他の人はダメだと思っています。自分により頼むという梁を取り除き、あなたに状況をお任せし、信頼します。自分でコントロールすることなく、あなたにあって、安心出来ますように。また自分の力により頼み、苦しんでいる人達を助けることが出来ますように。🙏

【Scripture】“How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”Luke 6:42 NIV

【Observation】In other translations, “speck” is rendered as “wood chip” and “plank” as “log.” If there were a log in your eye, you wouldn’t be able to see at all. Jesus is teaching us that while we can see the small problems in others, we cannot see the big problems within ourselves. Jesus says that if we remove those problems within ourselves, we will be able to see clearly and help others. What is the plank in my own eye?

【Application】I think I have a problem with control. That’s because I judge people who try to control situations. So what about me, the one who is judging others?I, too, am trying to control situations out of anxiety.

【Prayer】Lord, even though I’m trying to control situations myself, I think it’s okay for me to do so but not for others. Please remove the “plank” of relying on myself, so that I may entrust the situation to You and trust in You. May I find peace in You without trying to control things on my own. May I also be able to help those who are suffering by relying on their strength. 🙏
