【主を信じ、立ち向かえ！ Trust in the Lord and Face the wall!】

【御言葉】”ヨナタンは道具持ちの若者に言った。「さあ、この無割礼の者どもの先陣のところへ渡って行こう。おそらく、主がわれわれに味方してくださるだろう。多くの人によっても、少しの人によっても、主がお救いになるのを妨げるものは何もない。」”サムエル記第一 14章 6節
【観察】ヨナタンは父サウロに告げずに道具持ちと2人で、ペリシテ人の先陣の者達に戦いを挑んだ。と言っても剣は一本しかなく、実質戦うのはヨナタン1人で、道具持ちはヨナタンのサポート役あった。なぜヨナタンは1人でペリシテ人の大軍に戦いを挑んだのだろう？それは主がイスラエルを救おうとされるなら、1人で敵に立ち向かおうと、大軍で立ち向かおうと神様には関係がないという信仰をヨナタンは持っていた。時々、私達の目の前には自分では到底無理だと思うような壁や敵が現れる。その時、私達は立ち向かう自分を見て、勝てるかどうかを考えてしまう。しかし、主の戦いは違う。立ち向かう私達が一人か大軍なのかが問題なのでなく、主が味方してくれるかどうかなのだ。主が共にいてくださるなら、私達はどんな敵とも戦える。
【適用】自分の状況や環境を見るのではなく、自分に味方してくださる主を見、勝利は約束されていることを信じて戦う。
【祈り】主よ、私は目の前にある大きな壁を見、弱い自分を見て、初めから戦うことを諦めていました。あなたを信じます。あなたは私に味方してくれるお方。私は何を恐れる必要があるでしょう。あなたにあって勝利が約束されていることを信じ、私はその壁に立ち向かいます。ヨナタンのように。🙏
【Scripture】1 Samuel 14:6 NIV[6] Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
【Observation】Without telling his father Saul, Jonathan and his armor-bearer went out to challenge the vanguard of the Philistines. That said, they had only one sword, so in reality, Jonathan was the only one fighting, while his armor-bearer served as his support.Why did Jonathan challenge the vast Philistine army all by himself?It was because Jonathan had faith that if the Lord intended to save Israel, it made no difference to God whether he faced the enemy alone or with a large army.Sometimes, walls or enemies appear before us that we feel are impossible to overcome on our own. At such times, we look at ourselves facing the challenge and wonder if we can win. But the Lord’s battles are different. The issue is not whether we face the enemy alone or with a great army, but whether the Lord is on our side. If the Lord is with us, we can fight any enemy.
【Application】Instead of looking at our circumstances or environment, let us look to the Lord who is on our side and fight, believing that victory is assured.
【Prayer】Lord, I looked at the huge wall before me and saw my own weakness, so I gave up on fighting from the start.I believe in You. You are the One who stands with me. What do I have to fear? Believing that victory is assured in You, I will face that wall—just like Jonathan.🙏
