【自分ではなく、キリストを！ Not Myself, but Christ!】

【御言葉】”もし誇る必要があるなら、私は自分の弱さのことを誇ります。”コリント人への手紙第二 11章 30節

【観察】パウロは誇る必要があるなら、自分の弱さを誇ると言う。これはこの世と真逆の価値観だ。この世は自分の強さ、自分が何が出来るか、何をしたか、自分が何を持っているかを誇る。自分に価値があることをみんなに知らせたいのだ。しかし、聖書は違う。そもそも自分のことを誇る必要はない。神の目からは、そのままで価値があるからだ。しかし、もしどうしても私が誇らなければならない状況に追い込まれたのなら、自分の弱さを誇れと言われる。これなら私にも出来そうだ。自分がいかに弱い存在で、多くのことが出来ず、そんなに多くのものを持っていない。私はこの世的には誇れるものを持っていないが、私はキリストを持っている。自分にはこの世的に誇れるものがないことを喜ぼう。そして、すべてを持っておられるキリストを誇ろう。

【適用】自分を誇らず、キリストを誇る。

【祈り】主よ、私はこの世的に見れば、価値のないものです。私には誇れるものがありません。しかし、そのことを感謝します。なぜなら、自慢したくても、自慢出来ないからです。これは恵みです。私には何もありませんが、すべてを持っておられるキリストを私は自慢します。素晴らしいあなたを。🙏

【Scripture】”If I must boast, I will boast of my weaknesses.”2 Corinthians 11:30

【Observation】Paul says that if he must boast, he will boast of his weaknesses. This is a value system that is the exact opposite of the world’s. The world boasts of its own strength, of what it can do, what it has done, and what it possesses. It wants everyone to know that it has value. But the Bible teaches differently. There is no need to boast about oneself in the first place. In God’s eyes, we are valuable just as we are. However, if I am forced into a situation where I absolutely must boast, I am told to boast in my weakness. This is something I can do. I am a weak being who cannot do many things and does not possess much. I have nothing in this world to boast about, but I have Christ. Let me rejoice that I have nothing in this world to boast about. And let me boast in Christ, who possesses everything.

【Application】Do not boast in yourself, but boast in Christ.

【Prayer】Lord, from a worldly perspective, I am worthless. I have nothing to boast about. Yet I am grateful for this, because even if I wanted to boast, I cannot. This is grace.I have nothing, but I boast in Christ, who possesses everything. I boast in You, who are wonderful God! 🙏
