【信仰によって生きる Living by Faith】

【御言葉】19 しかし私は、神に生きるために、律法によって律法に死にました。私はキリストとともに十字架につけられました。20 もはや私が生きているのではなく、キリストが私のうちに生きておられるのです。今私が肉において生きているいのちは、私を愛し、私のためにご自分を与えてくださった、神の御子に対する信仰によるのです。ガラテヤ人への手紙 2章 19〜20節

【観察】パウロは律法によって、義とされる生き方に死んだ。またパウロは自分の思い通りに生きてきた肉的な生き方に死んだ。だから、これからはキリストにすべてを委ね、聖霊様に導かれて生きる霊的な生き方をしようとパウロは私達を励ましている。しかし、私の現実はどうだろうか？今でも自分の肉の思いに従って生きることが度々ある。私には自分勝手に生きたいという願望がいつもある。その思いが罪から来ていることも知っている。ならば、私の思いは重要ではなく、重要なのは神の思いだ。神の思いを知り、信仰によって生きることが求められている。

【適用】自分の力に頼る生き方に日々死んで、神の思いを知り、聖霊様により頼みつつ、信仰によって日々生きる。

【祈り】主よ、私はキリストを信じた時に古い自分は死にました。それを信仰によって、信じます。しかし、私の中に罪が住んでおり、その罪に影響され、自分の思い通りに生きたいという思いが湧いてきます。その思いを無視し、聖霊様に従い、信仰によって生きていけますように。弱い私を導いてください。🙏

【Scripture】Galatians 2:19-20 NIV[19] “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. [20] I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

【Observation】Paul died to the way of life that sought justification through the law. He also died to the fleshly way of life he had lived according to his own desires. Therefore, Paul encourages us to now entrust everything to Christ and live a spiritual life guided by the Holy Spirit.But what is my reality?Even now, I often live according to my own fleshly desires. I constantly harbour a desire to live selfishly. I know this desire stems from sin. Therefore, my own thoughts are not important; what matters is God’s will. I am called to know God’s will and live by faith.

【Application】Daily die to living by my own strength, know God’s will, rely on the Holy Spirit, and live daily by faith.

【Prayer】Lord, when I believed in Christ, my old self died. I believe this by faith. Yet sin dwells within me, influencing me, and the desire to live according to my own will arises.May I ignore that desire, obey the Holy Spirit, and live by faith. Guide me in my weakness.🙏
