【喜んで、人に仕える Serve Others with Joy】

【御言葉】33 一行はカペナウムに着いた。イエスは家に入ってから、弟子たちにお尋ねになった。「来る途中、何を論じ合っていたのですか。」34 彼らは黙っていた。来る途中、だれが一番偉いか論じ合っていたからである。35 イエスは腰を下ろすと、十二人を呼んで言われた。「だれでも先頭に立ちたいと思う者は、皆の後になり、皆に仕える者になりなさい。」マルコの福音書 9章 33〜35節

【観察】この世界と神の国のリーダーシップは真逆だ。神の国では支配ではなく、仕えることが強調される。なぜなら、私達に与えられている権威は自分のためではなく、他の人を生かすために与えられているからだ。イエス様も率先して、人々に仕えた。私もそうでなければならない。しかし、現実はどうだろう。人と自分を比べ、一喜一憂し、自分に与えられた権威を自分のために使いたい誘惑と毎日戦い、自分に異を唱える人達に仕えることに葛藤している。人から目立つことは考えるが、本当に必要な人に仕えることは後回しにする。イエス様の仕える心と私の心はかけ離れている。

【適用】自分の弱さを認め、イエス様に従い、周りの人達を生かすために喜んで、人に仕える。

【祈り】主よ、私は本当にあの弟子達と変わりません。人と比べて、一喜一憂しています。あなたの御前にへりくだります。あなたのように喜んで、人に仕える者と変えてください。🙏

【Scripture】Mark 9:33-35 NIV[33] They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” [34] But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. [35] Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

【Observation】Leadership in this world and in God’s kingdom are polar opposites. In God’s kingdom, serving is emphasized, not ruling. This is because the authority given to us is not for our own benefit, but to bring life to others. Jesus Himself took the lead in serving others. I must do the same. Yet, what is my reality? I compare myself to others, fluctuating between joy and sorrow. I struggle daily against the temptation to use the authority given to me for my own benefit. I wrestle with serving those who oppose me. I think about standing out to others, but putting off serving those who truly need it. My heart is far from Jesus’ heart of service.

【Application】Acknowledge my weakness, follow Jesus, and joyfully serve others to bring life to those around me.

【Prayer】Lord, I am truly no different from those disciples. I compare myself to others and fluctuate between joy and sorrow. I humble myself before You. Transform me into one who joyfully serves others, just as You did.🙏
