【関係があるから、生きている　Because we have a relationship, Christ Is Alive】

【御言葉】
19 ただ、彼と言い争っている点は、彼ら自身の宗教に関すること、また死んでしまったイエスという者のことで、そのイエスが生きているとパウロは主張しているのです。
使徒の働き 25章19節

【観察】
この時、フェストゥスはローマ皇帝にパウロの罪状を決めなければならなかったが、信仰に関することをこの世の法律で裁くのは難しいだろう。
パウロはイエスキリストは神であり、救い主であり、復活し、今も生きていると信じていた。そして、ユダヤ人のリーダー達はキリストは神でなく、救い主でもなく、復活もせず、もう死んだと信じていた。彼らの主張はパウロの主張と真逆であり、人を神とする者は死罪に値する。キリストは今も生きているのか？
私の答えは「イエス」だ。私はなぜそう言えるのか？それは私がキリストを信じてから40年、ずっとキリストと関係があったからだ。今もキリストに祈り、キリストに語られる。キリストは生きているから、会話ができる。死んだ者は会話できないからだ。

【適用】
パウロのように、生きているキリストを宣べ伝える。

【祈り】
主よ、あなたは生きておられ、私に語りかけてくださいます。今日もあなたとの会話を楽しむことができるこの身の幸いを感謝します。パウロのようにこれからも生きているあなたを周りの人達に伝えていくことが出来ますように。

【Scripture】
Acts 25:19 NIV
[19] Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive.

【Observation】
At this time, Festus had to determine Paul’s guilt for the Roman emperor, but judging matters of faith under earthly law would be difficult.
Paul believed Jesus Christ was God, the Savior, resurrected, and still alive. The Jewish leaders, however, believed Christ was not God, not the Savior, had not been resurrected, and was dead. Their claims were the exact opposite of Paul’s, and anyone who makes a man into a god deserves death. Is Christ alive today?
My answer is “Yes.” Why can I say that? Because for 40 years since I believed in Christ, I have continually had a relationship with Him. Even now, I pray to Christ and Christ answer me. Because Christ is alive, conversation is possible. The dead cannot converse.

【Application】
Like Paul, proclaim the living Christ.

【Prayer】
Lord, You are alive and speak to me. I thank You for the blessing of enjoying conversation with You today. May I, like Paul, continue to proclaim Your living presence to those around me.
